Experience hassle-free camping at Dover Motor Speedway, whether you’re bringing an RV or pitching a tent. From full hook-up sites to no-frills tent spots, there’s something for everyone. Enjoy convenient amenities and a welcoming environment that makes race weekend both fun and comfortable.

Dover offers a variety of campsite types and sizes, including grass and paved surfaces. Some sites are as large as 60 by 45 feet, and many are located within walking distance of the free Fan Zone (some camping areas are located infield). Both RV and tent areas are available, along with multiple premium options and ADA-accessible spaces.

Electric hook-ups are offered in select lots. Public showers are located throughout the grounds and are easily accessible from most campgrounds. 24-hour on-site security is in place to ensure a safe and secure environment.

Each lot includes at least one two-pass and allows check-in as early as Wednesday in most cases. Free services include trash bags, water fill-up stations, and RV dump stations. Additional services available for purchase include ice delivery, porta-john rental, waste pumping, and nonpotable water fills.

Reserved RV spaces

Reserved RV spaces are the only way to guarantee a specific location for race weekend. These sites offer the added convenience of a guaranteed spot with proximity to the Speedway. Load-ins for reserved spaces begin on Wednesday prior to race weekend. Reservations must be made through the Dover ticket office.

Load-in schedule

• Turn 1 Camping, Turn 3 Camping, and Lots 2, 6, 7, 8XL, and 10 allow check-in Wednesday through Sunday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Champion’s Gate opens Wednesday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Trackside Camping is open for check-in on Wednesday and Thursday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• The Infield Reserve is open Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Lot 9 (tents) check-in runs Thursday through Sunday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

All campers should report directly to their designated lot during operating hours. Guests arriving after 8 p.m. and before 8 a.m. from Wednesday to Saturday must check in at Lot 1. In case of severe weather, campground access may be delayed until conditions improve.

Free services

RV dump stations and water fill-ups are located just left of the main entrance off Route 13 and at the front section of Campground Lot 10. Water is also available in multiple areas of Campground Lot 2. Trash bags can be picked up from the lot attendants.

Paid services

Mobile ice sales are available from Thursday through Sunday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Porta-john rental is available through United Site Services. Call 732-570-1067 or 856-434-2238 during race week (deliveries from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.), or 804-759-4326 for advance orders.

Pumping services for RVs are available Thursday through Sunday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Monday from 8 to 10 a.m. Service trucks will be present in each lot, or you can call the numbers above.

Showers are located in front of Campground Lot 10. Hours are Friday to Sunday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Monday, 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Nonpotable water delivery is available Friday through Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a maximum fill of 50 gallons per order. Contact the same service numbers for availability.

Important notes

All camping check-ins must be completed directly at each lot during hours of operation. After-hours arrivals go to Lot 1. Every camping area is within walking distance of shower facilities. Please note that all campground purchases are cashless.
