Going to the Quaker State 400 at Dover Motor Speedway?
Here are a few tips to help you have the best race weekend possible:
Get there early, especially on Saturday.
Race day traffic builds up fast, so it’s smart to arrive early. You’ll avoid the worst of the congestion and have more time to enjoy the pre-race atmosphere.
Pack your own food and drinks.
You're allowed to bring your own food and beverages, including alcohol (just no glass containers). Each person can bring up to two bags no larger than 18" x 18" x 14", plus one soft-sided cooler up to 14" x 14" x 14". Check more information here.
Plan for traffic and parking.
Expect busy roads around the speedway all weekend long. Know your route ahead of time, budget for delays, and book a parking spot if possible. Having a plan makes arrival a lot easier.
Pick a meeting point.
Cell service can get unreliable with so many fans in one place. If you're going with others, agree on a spot to meet up just in case you get separated.
Make time for everything.
There’s more to enjoy than just the race – explore the fan zone, grab some food, and check out the merchandise areas. A little planning goes a long way in making sure you don’t miss the fun.
