TRAVELING BY CAR

Dover Motor Speedway offers a range of parking options, including both free general parking areas and paid lots located near the grandstands. On busy NASCAR weekends, parking fills up quickly, so arriving early is highly recommended.

Tips for a smooth arrival:

• Plan Your Route Ahead of Time: Use a reliable GPS app to navigate to the Speedway. Dover is located just off Route 1 and U.S. 13, and traffic can get heavy on race days, especially near Exit 104 and Exit 95.
• Arrive Early: The earlier you arrive, the easier it’ll be to find parking and avoid long lines at the gates. Many fans arrive several hours before the green flag to enjoy pre-race events and tailgating.
• Follow Event Signage and Staff Directions: Uniformed staff and road signs will direct you to available lots and help keep traffic flowing. Follow all directions to ensure an efficient and safe entry process.

Getting to Dover Motor Speedway

From Delaware Memorial Bridge (New Jersey/New England)

• Take the NJ Turnpike South to the Delaware Memorial Bridge
• Cross the bridge, follow signs for US 13 South or DE Route 1 South
• Take Exit 104, turn left on US 13 South
• Dover Motor Speedway is 2 miles ahead on the left
• Approx. 45 miles | ~50 minutes

From Philadelphia or Trenton

• Take I-95 South to I-495 South (Exit 11)
• Merge onto DE Route 1 South via Exit 4A
• Take Exit 104, turn left on US 13 South
• Dover Motor Speedway is 2 miles ahead on the left
• Approx. 75 miles | ~1.5 hours

From Baltimore

• Take I-95 North from I-695 (Baltimore Beltway)
• Exit onto DE Route 896 South, then merge onto DE Route 1 South
• Take Exit 104 (Scarborough Rd – toll may apply)
• Turn left on US 13 South
• Dover Motor Speedway is 2 miles ahead on the left
• Approx. 93 miles | ~1 hr 40 min

From Washington, D.C.

• Take I-95 North, then I-495 North (DC Beltway)
• Merge onto US 50/301 East over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge
• Follow US 301 North to MD Route 302
• Turn right on Route 454 at Templeville (becomes Route 8 in Delaware)
• In Dover, turn left on US 13 North
• Dover Motor Speedway is 2 miles ahead on the right
• Approx. 97 miles | ~2 hours

From Norfolk/Virginia Beach via Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel

• Take US 13 North all the way to Dover
• Dover Motor Speedway is 2 miles north of downtown, on the right
• Approx. 200 miles | ~3.5 hours
